Working on

Applied AI and the engineering systems around it.

I'm especially interested in evaluation, retrieval, orchestration, and the practical work required to make AI systems reliable beyond the prototype stage.

Learning

Going deeper on the foundations.

Embeddings, vector search, retrieval, agents, evaluation, and the mathematics and systems thinking underneath them.

Writing

Turning what I learn into explanations.

I'm starting to publish more of my thinking, particularly around AI engineering and concepts that become much clearer when you can see or interact with them.

Out in the world

Meeting more builders and practitioners.

I'm making a deliberate effort to spend more time around people building serious technology, especially in London's AI and engineering communities.

Outside work

More motorbikes, travel, and time away from screens.

I'm trying to make more room for riding, exploring, and learning things simply because they're interesting.
